Pink makes the boys wink.

I've had this skirt for a while now and this is the first time I've worn it. I guess pastel pink PVC isn't something you wear everyday and to be honest I've been a little bit self conscious thinking that people will stare at me for wearing it. But I did manage to step outside to have these photos taken in it. It's safe to say its not the most comfortable thing to wear and it quite difficult to walk in haha! However I do love the beautiful colour and how different it is! I know since it had sold out and loads of people are now trying to get there hands on one. I guess the perks of working for Topshop are I do get to get the good stuff first!

Queenies Cupcakery

So earlier in the week me and the Mr finally visited Queenies Cupcake Shop after wanting to go for so long and somehow always ending up going when it was closed! But it's safe to say it was more than worth the wait. The shop itself is beautifully decorated in the perfect vintage tearoom style with loads of crockery and cake stands and general cute stuff! The cakes were superb, I had a pavlova cupcake with fresh berries and meringue, it was heavenly, the frosting was so so good! And I had a pot of earl grey tea to go with it which is the perfect tea for any cake eating in my opinion.
Ironbridge is an absolutely lovely place and just generally great to visit anyway with the added advantage of having Queenies there as well so I thoroughly recommend it it you're looking for a day out!

Lovely Little Teacups!

This is my first post in a little while. I really don't know how you guys do it, I admire you so much. I find it hard to juggle a full time job, a small jewellery business and a blog sooo I've decided just to throw another thing into the mix haha! I've been creating these little designs of my own on vintage crockery for about a year or so now and only now has it occurred to me that somebody else might actually like these, so I've opened up a separate Etsy shop specifically for this called Lovely Little Teacups
Please have a look and let me know what you think!
Here's a sneaky little peak of some of the bits and pieces i've created for the shop.

London Haul

I've been dying for some new clothes for quite some time and i've scoured every shop and every website but nothing appealed to me or inspired me at all. I was going through one of those phases where you like nothing in your wardrobe and theres nothing new you like and you feel like you've hit a style brick wall. However the sunny weekend we spent in London a fortnight ago just got me re-inspired and loads of little gems jumped out at me.

First of all this little number I found at a vintage fair in Brick Lane for only £15 and I had it have it. It reminded me of Courtney Love, I think it's very Hole-esq!

Secondly I found this beautiful jacket which is probably my favourite piece out of all of them. I dug it out of one of those £3 bins in Absolute Vintage in Brick Lane and it's a sort of woolly mohairy type of jacket and I just love it and wear it with everything right now!

I've had my eye on this jumpsuit from Urban Outfitters for quite a while, it's a lovely comfy grey Jersey fabric and it was originally £48 down to £25 so I had to snap it up! Unfortunately you can't seem to get it on the website anymore but I'm sure plenty of stores will still have it.

This Staring at Stars dress was again in the Urban Outfitters sale section and is by a brand called Staring at Stars. It is another of my favourite pieces as its just the perfect little summer dress for those lovely hot days.

I saw these in Uniqlo and instantly fell in love. I don't have too many shorts for summer as I generally hate getting my legs out but these are the perfect short for me, super high waisted and not too short. They have a real 50's feel about them and I love the print. I can't believe they were only £7.90!

I wish i'd got more of these Celia Birtwell pyjama pants when I saw them in Uniqlo, there were loads of different prints and they're reduced to £9.90. There so comfy and I've worn them loads since I brought them. They were intitally one of those weird purchases I wasn't sure that I'd actually wear and now I feel like I can't live without them!

I seem to have brought loads recently so I've got a few more 'Haul' style posts lined up. Let me know what you think. Charlie x x x

Honey, Rose & Ambers first magazine mini feature.

Honey Rose and Amber's first ever magazine feature! I'm so proud! The lovely Rosie of Carelessly Cut approached me a little while back to see if I would be interested in being part of the magazine and I was so so excited. It's such a lovely opportunity for a small brand like mine when I am really only just starting out. It's such a lovely magazine as well which makes it even nicer.

The magazine is out now available to buy from WHSmiths for £4.99 needless to say i've already been and brought my copy, it's definitely one for the scrapbook.

A mega good time!

Firstly I should start by apologizing for disappearing from the blogging world briefly. I don't want to go into the ins and outs but you all know how life can be challenging at times and this has just been one of those times but needless to say i'm now stronger and better for the experience. And after all this chaos in my life what better than to spend a lovely weekend in London with the love of my life, it was our one year anniversary after all! Wow! I still can't believe that I met the man of my dreams, I really thought it was the stuff that fairy tales are made of but nope, dreams really do come true! Anywho, here's a few pictures from our lovely adventures last weekend. We visited The Photographers Gallery and The National History Museum whilst we were there and enjoyed some lovely food at The Breakfast Club. I also went on a bit of a mad shopping spree, rude not to when you're in london really but I was really pleased because I haven't really found anything i've liked in the shops for months and was very uninspired by it but now I have a very full wardrobe again so lots of outfit posts coming up soon! Enjoy! Charlie x x x

Inspirational Blogger Chats- with Charlene O

Inspirational Blogs I love.

STYLE- Charlene of Struttlamode

This is a brand new series of posts that will be appearing on the blog monthly. In order for you to know a little bit more about me I thought I definitely should explain some of the other blogs and bloggers that inspired me as they are the reason I am doing this in the first place. We all look at each others blogs for inspiration and there is nothing wrong with that. We all started as blog readers and still are, blogging is a community and I have met some very lovely people so far. This series though had to begin with my biggest Style inspiration/crush. I bloody love Charlene's blog it has and always will be a constant source of style inspiration to me because she is beautiful, gorgeous, stylish and not to mention lovely! So I had a little chat to Charlene about what made her start Strutt La Mode and the conversation follows below for you guys to enjoy.

So where did you get the idea from to start blogging?
I found it hard to get a job when I left University and had a lot of free time on my hands. When I was not looking for jobs I was on the interent a lot reading fashion blogs and just thought I have loads of clothes which have built up during my uni days (thanks student loan) I could do this to fill my time ...So I did.

Where do you get style inspiration from?
Everywhere! Films, Streetstyle, magazines if I seee something I like from anywhere I will take it on board and make it my own.

Who is your biggest style crush?
I have a few right now its
Kate Bosworth, 90's Drew Barrymore and Thelma and Louise

How would you define your style? Super tricky question I know!
My style is constantly evolving so it would be impossible to define it.

What are you staple go to wardrobe pieces?
Vintage Leather Jacket, Chokers, Topshop Astrix Boots

What pieces are you currently covetting?
Slip Dresses and ovesized T-shirts dresses - easy things. And just about anything from LNA!

I love these but I cannot afford them :-(

And lastly name us your top 3 favourite all time blogs?
It's so hard to narrow it down so here's just a few of my favourites

jeangreige.blogspot.com/

love-aesthetics.blogspot.com/

Just noticed I must really like blondes.............

Thanks so much Charlene. And I can't wait to carry on following your blog and seeing all your amazing outfits!

Love Cats!

Yay! At last, another sunny day outfit post! Well this ones kind of more about the accessories  I was sent some lovely stuff this week by the lovely Molly Bishop of anomalymolly.co.uk and she is one heck of a talented lady! I'd been lusting after her gorgeous flower crowns for some time, this beautiful peachy shade is my particular fave as its just such a me colour and at £8 they are an amazing bargain, to receive something this lovely and handmade. Also her 'Love Boobs' tees are just so so cute! They are total limited editions and made with beautifully soft American Apparel tees so for £13 again I think this is a total steal. She sent me lots of other gorgeous bits and bobs, you may have seen the blue collar clips on my Instagram earlier this week as I wore them with my new Blue Polka Dot Topshop shirt and they just looked the cutest together!
Anyway if you like the look of these beautiful products you should definitely get yourself over to her website and have a mooch!
